The miniature BLS setup is a compact but complete back-scattering system which can be mounted immediately before the input pinhole of a TFP spectrometer. It enables the execution of back scattering measurements on test samples without having a proper equipment on the workbench, or without disturbing the setup already built on the workbench.
The miniature BLS setup includes a 50:50 beam splitter, gathering and focussing lenses and a small sample space. Focus and position of the focussing lens are adjustable, so that the back scattered radiation from the sample is fed to the TFP spectrometer.
Used together with a reference sample, the miniature BLS setup provides a reproducible and quick way to assess the efficiency of the device, whenever necessary.
