Pinhole Camera PC-1

Description

The pinhole plane is imaged on CMOS sensor camera, allowing the user to easily align both the input beam and the spectrometer's reference signal to the centre of the (smallest) available pinhole. The camera is connected to a PC through an USB link.

If an external optical setup is available for experimental work  and a gathering lens is focussed on a sample surface, the camera is often able to provide help for precise positioning on the sample.

The same camera is used as a part of the confocal microscope appendix CM-1; when this happens, the camera tube is also equipped with a filter to enable the visibility of a very strong laser signal on the surface of a sample.

The camera software is provided for free by the  manufacturer and updated regularly. This page contains the version actually provided together with the spectrometer, which is usually not the last one. It is possible to download the most recent software packages and coding examples from the camera manufacturer website.
